Rates and Scheduling
Scheduling Your First Appointment with Morris Therapy and Consulting
The first step in becoming a new client is scheduling a brief consultation lasting about 10-15 minutes. During this time, I will address any concerns or questions that you have. Prior to beginning therapy, you will receive access to an online client portal and will be sent paperwork to review and sign. Through this portal, you can schedule sessions, send secure messages, and see upcoming appointments.
Out-of-Network Provider
Like many other psychologists, I am an “out of network” provider and not under contract with insurers. This provides me greater flexibility in the care that I provide and allows me to maintain a smaller caseload to provide you with more individualized energy and attention. By not being under contract with insurance companies, the release of confidential information to insurance companies can be avoided. Insurance companies also require mental health conditions to meet criteria for payment eligibility. These diagnoses can become pre-existing conditions in your medical record. Insurance providers can also dictate who your provider is and how many sessions you can have.
I am in-network with the employee assistance program (EAP), Lyra Health. Please consult your employer and Lyra to verify the number of sessions covered. Clients needing services beyond the number of session covered by Lyra are welcome to continue paying for services out of pocket.
Rates for Services
Morris Therapy and Consulting accepts cash, credit card or health service account (HSA). Full payment is expected at the time of service. - Initial Intake Appointment (60 minutes): $270
- Individual Therapy (16-37 minutes): $180

Please reach out if you would like additional or specific information.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance or who chose not to use insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises”
Cancellation Policy
Therapy sessions are vital appointments to address your mental health. If you need to cancel or reschedule a therapy session, you will need to contact me at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Without advance notice, full payment is required for any missed sessions. If you are using Lyra benefits, please note that your employer does not always cover late cancellations or no-shows and if it is not covered, you will be responsible for the full session fee out of pocket. Please consult with your employer or Lyra for further details.
